sunshiney day!

the craziness of me posting twice in a week. wow.

i really really felt like blogging yesterday. except my internet decided to break, so no blog posting for me :( or facebook chat. or email. not a happy katya.

so today i went for a RUN. i have highlighted the word "run" in every possible way to try and explain how rare an occasion it is. i really don't know what possessed me to go for a run. i don't like exercise. i walk to college and back every day, it takes me 15-20 minutes each way and that is MORE than enough exercise. but today i had a sudden urge to go for a run. so i did.

big mistake.

i don't run. people have been known to call me "lazy", "someone who hates exercise" and "the last person in the world who would do the Duke of Edinburgh award".

And unfortunately it's true. Except the lazy bit.

I USED to like running. In fact, I used to be quite good at it, good enough to represent my high school at middle distance... but it's been two years since i ran anywhere and you can tell :/

i described it as this: "i am ashamed to be this unfit. a one-legged cat chained to a lampost could have overtaken me".

not QUITE true with the cat malarkey but near enough. urgh.

however, bring on summer! and watersports, and i will be as happy as larry doing exercise:)

right. who is larry? and why is he happy?

oh google :') apparently he could be "the Australian boxer Larry Foley (1847 - 1917). Foley was a successful boxer who never lost a fight. He retired at 32 and collected a purse of £1,000 for his final fight. So, we can expect that he was known to be happy with his lot in the 1870s - just when the phrase is first cited."

fair enough then, it all makes sense now.

i watched gladiator for the first time yesterday and actually LOVED it. not going to lie, i'm a chick-flick/disney type of girl. i mean, my favourite film is madagascar 2.
closely followed by mulan and toy story 3. so manning up and watching gladiator was a big step! but it was really good. impressed.

King Julien is my favourite person ever. There was a picture of him here but being my usual technological self, it failed.

Anyway, we landed, at which point I said back to him: "Good landing boys, who says a penguin can't fly". So the rest of the passengers were slightly bewildered admittedly. It is literally my favourite thing ever when Madagascar 2 quotes become appropriate in everyday conversation. It happens a surprising amount. i am so sad. <3

i love days off. EVEN THOUGH CADBURY WORLD WAS CANCELLED. ( it's the place where chocolate comes to life apparently) i didn't get to go on the cocoa bean ride! life=over.
<<< a beanmobile, obviously.

also. i discovered on friday that I'VE ALREADY PASSED MY A-LEVELS. which cheered me up immensely. so i think i have two D grades and one E grade, although not convinced about the E, the Ds are definite though. it doesn't sound great but considering i have two more modules to take in all of them, i reckon it's pretty impressive.

this CD is one i've been listening to ENDLESSLY recently- i just put the album on repeat on my iPod and literally know all the words! it's a good album, she's got another one as well which is also good but i prefer this one:) give it a listen?

over and out!

PS. Have you noticed how techy I've been on this post?! Two pictures and a hyperlink, crazy crazy times!

:)

So this week has been Reality week!
The Christian Union at my college held a week of events- quizzes and talks and stuff which was all very exciting:) everything went pretty well, not the huge numbers we were hoping for but oh well:D it was also the last big thing that the current leaders of CU (2010-2011) will do so that's pretty exciting that we'll be handing over soon!

i am VERY excited for cadbury world on monday. it was my friend becky's eighteenth birthday in January and her surprise day is cadbury world! except it's not really a surprise, but hey. the reason i'm excited? free chocolate (although it's not really free as you pay to go in but shhh) and the BEAN RIDE. Apparently it's fun "especially for kids". << This makes me happy:D It's basically a kiddy ride where you go on a little track in a bean... but i think it sounds fun.

i'm still struggling to choose a university. i thought i'd decided but i really haven't. i'm so indecisive. argh. but i was reminded of this this week: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus". (Philippians 4v6-7)
